So the past few weeks have been HARD, hard for me, hard for Handsome, hard for my mom (she watches him during the day)... Poor Handsome has been one hard case when it comes to getting him to go poop. Not to mention all the nonstop stimming, yelling, crying, hitting, throwing himself into things/people, mouthing everything in site! Its just plain hard!
When I called his DAN doctor on Monday and told her he still had NOT pooped a significant amount she was shocked. She said she has seen hard cases before, but not this hard. She told her nurse to tell me that he is just that backed up and has been struggling for so long with his poops that its going to take awhile to find the regimine to clean him out and then find the one to keep him regular. Right now this is what he is taking :
Bio Energy C (buffered Vitamin C) 3 tsp daily 12,000 mg(yes I wrote those MGs correctly :) )
Aloe Vera Juice 1/4 cup 2-3 times a day
Magnesium Taurate 3 capsules daily
And thats just for him to go poop, he is on several other supplements for other things as well.. Total in all = 10
WHEW....
Its pretty funny to see us give him all these supplements all day long. As you can imagine he doesn't' know how to take pills yet, so we are putting most of his stuff in coconut yogurt, apple sauce or juice and if we can we mix it in his food he's eating. You definitly have to be creative when you have this many supplements to give and they don't know how to swallow pills yet :).
So as of today, he has pooped a huge amount in the mornings the past two days, then during the day poops little bits all day long. The Aloe Juice was just added yesterday so we're praying it gets in his system more by tomorrow and that we see more stools.
BUT we have seen some progress too :) little by little more correct frazes in sentences, like " Mommy that was a wonderful book to read" WHAT I nearly jumped off my bed!!! or "Here Mommy kiss Rudy goodnight too" that one melted my heart (Rudy is the dinosaur from Ice Age 3) I could go on :)School starts on August 10th and I was hoping to have the worst part of this done before he started school as its interfered with our potty training alot :(... He's starting kindergarten and a brand new school, with new teachers and its all day long. This kind of thing normally does not sit well with Handsome, so I am trying to get in touch with his teacher to schedule a face to face meeting with her before school starts. So far its proving to be VERY difficult.
So in the end, keep praying for poop and for a smooth transition to his new school.
Much Love,

I think it is such a great idea to meet with Handsome's teacher before school. I am so sorry that you are having trouble. I would like to think that I would call the parent before the parent had the chance to call me, but I would be so happy to hear from a parent who was trying to get a head start on getting to know each other and wanting to help me get to know their child as well.
I look forward to hearing about his experience in school and I hope that he gets a teacher that you like and work well with because that is so important for both of you!
best wishes in this department Lisa, I know all to well how difficult getting the bowels regular can be. Good luck Hun and many prayers
Yea, things are looking up! Good luck with school.
